Own decks belong to you. Copied decks are a private snapshot from the time of copying. Subscribed decks stay connected to the original and are read-only for you.
Deck Help
Create, share, and subscribe to decks.
Decks are widget collections. Under /d, you manage your own decks, editing, new decks, public decks, and trash in one consistent structure.
Roadmap
Efficient workflow
Under /d/new, select widgets by clicking their cards. Widget order applies only in this deck and not in your general widget view.
When you add a widget from a subscribed deck to your own deck, it is materialized as your own widget. That keeps your deck from breaking if the original creator removes something later.
Private decks stay with you. Public decks are moderated and can then be copied or subscribed to by others. Contact widgets and unsuitable link widgets remain excluded.
On /d, the edit switch reveals favorites, visibility, sorting, and trash. The trash collects deleted own decks and ended subscriptions.
General
Navigate faster
Decklane can be used without long menu paths. Keyboard shortcuts work outside form fields.
The command palette searches the most important places on Decklane. Use arrow up/down to switch results, Enter to open the active item, and Esc to close the window.
Important rules and notes
- A subscription is marked with a "Subscription" ribbon. You can hide individual widgets from a subscribed deck without ending the whole subscription.
- If a public deck becomes empty, it is automatically set to private. Creator and subscribers are notified.
- If a public deck is deleted or made private, subscribers receive a notification and the deck disappears from the active view. A later republication can make the subscription visible again.
- The "Open all" button opens link widgets only. Contact widgets are skipped so no email or phone action starts accidentally.
- Public decks should avoid links that are useless without login, subscription, paywall access, or intranet access.
- Decks receive reach badges when they pass subscription thresholds. Thresholds are configurable in the admin area.
- Wrong age ratings or questionable content can be reported on the deck detail page.
- Decks and widgets can be found through tags. Tag pages combine own widgets, own decks, and matching public decks.
