Organization Help

Use organizations in a structured way.

Organizations are for companies, clubs, schools, or teams. They provide internal widgets and decks without mixing them with members private content.

Roadmap

First steps

1
Create organization

Under /o/new, set name and domain. Then verify the domain through a DNS TXT record.

2
Plan areas

Areas fit departments, locations, teams, or projects. They keep many internal decks discoverable.

3
Assign roles

Organization admins manage the organization. Area managers maintain content for their areas. Regular members read and use decks.

4
Use studio

Internal widgets and decks are created in the organization studio. The handling follows /w and /d as closely as possible: cards, edit switch, filters, and trash.

General

Navigate faster

Decklane can be used without long menu paths. Keyboard shortcuts work outside form fields.

The command palette searches the most important places on Decklane. Use arrow up/down to switch results, Enter to open the active item, and Esc to close the window.

Tips for organization admins

  • Domain verification is required for work-email invitations and public organization pages with a website link.
  • Invitations should be accepted promptly; expired invitations do not reserve seats permanently.
  • Permissions can be set per role and, if needed, individually per person.
  • Changes by organization admins and area managers are logged in the organization audit.
  • Public organization pages do not show internal members, areas, or decks.
